Total Imported Spirit declined by - 1.9%
- Malt Whisky grew 11.8%.
- Gin Imports show a growth (+15%)
- Tequila grew healthily +11.1% to 125,000 cases.
- Rum added 3,000 cases : only imports grew
- Imported liqueurs seem to have peaked at 1.22 million cases.
- Sake continued to fall and lost 2.3 million cases

Total Imported Spirits growth by 1.3%
- Imported Still light wines grew strongly again +16.7% to just under 2 million cases
- Scotch (approximately 98% of whisky consumption) showed very marginal growth of 1% to 2.68 million cases.
- Imported Vodka grew again 18.8%.
- The Tequila market grew strongly 22.7% to 28,000.
- Overall liqueurs were stable at 48,000 cases.

- The sparkling wine category grew by 12%.
- Still Light Wine market grew by 2.8%.
New Zealand 
Spirits: 2005 vs 2006
Total Imported Spirits declined by - 1.5%
- Still Light Wine grew 4.2%.
- Champagne grew healthily 13.9% or 10,000 cases
- Scotch grew 2.3%. Both Premiums and Standard gained volumes
- Standard Gin brands grew 5,000 cases for the first time in years.
- *2000-2005 Premium Gin enjoyed excellent growth of 123%.
- Vodka grew again 6.5%.
- *Overall sales from 2000 - 2005 is 55%.
- Tequila grew by 7.5% to 25,000cs.
- Liqueurs were up again 3.5% largely due to the huge growth in cream liqueurs, +15.7%
Phillippines

Total Imported Spirits Declined by - 1.2%
- Bourbon market continues growing 40%. Jack Daniels leads category with 18,000
- Vodka grew by 20%
- Local Brandy grew by over 60% and Spanish Brandy grew by 2.7%.

- Tequila declined in sales.

- Agreement between Europe and Vietnam has reduced tariff from 100% to 80% in 2004 Vietnam benefits from Singapore's role as a re-export hub with 45% of wine and spirits being reshipped to Vietnam
